The answer exists. It's just not findable.
Your BusinessObjects estate already knows which reports use that universe, which schedule mails that address, and what changed between Test and Production. The metadata is all there. It's just spread across the CMC, the BI Launch Pad, and multiple environments that nobody can see side by side.
Somebody opens schedules one at a time and reads the recipient lists. The address is in a Cc field three schedules down. Nobody finds it until the report lands in the wrong inbox.
There's no list. There's a guess, a folder that people think is related, and a bad month-end when scheduled financials fail silently.
The promotion job said success. Whether Test and Production now agree on folders, instances, connections and groups is a question answered by opening two CMC windows.
The host key is in a destination field on a schedule, and the only way to the schedule is to already know its exact name.
Open the report, open the query panel, hope you have rights, read it off the screen, and manually paste it into Notepad.
It's just slow, manual, and impossible to hand to anyone else without giving them full CMC superuser credentials.

Read-only is a design decision, not a setting
- Zero writes to SAP BusinessObjects: IntelliBOBI writes its own catalog, accounts, and sync schedules. That's the complete list.
- Encrypted at rest: SAP credentials are encrypted and used only to open a session on your behalf. Session tokens are never stored in browser local storage.
- Session cleanup: Signing out of IntelliBOBI immediately terminates the SAP sessions it opened.
- No external AI leakage: Ask runs entirely on your local IntelliBOBI server with zero cloud API dependencies.
- Enterprise account security: 12-character minimum passwords, 5-attempt lockout, 30-minute idle session timeouts, and gated admin capabilities.
What IntelliBOBI does not do
Admins trust vendors who draw the boundary clearly. We state our boundaries upfront:

- •It does not replace the CMC, the BI Launch Pad, IDT or Promotion Management. It reads and indexes what they hold.
- •Ask uses a deterministic, fixed vocabulary. Ambiguous phrasing won't match — simply rephrase or click the menu.
- •Catalog-backed screens (like Instance Search) require an initial sync. Live screens do not.

Is it safe to point at Production?
Yes — that's the design. IntelliBOBI never writes to SAP BusinessObjects. It reads metadata through the BI REST/CMS interface and stores its own copy.
Do we install anything on the BO servers?
No. IntelliBOBI is a server-hosted web application that connects to your BO servers over their existing network interfaces. Users only need a modern browser.
How many environments can we connect?
As many as you have credentials for. Each credential represents one environment (PROD, UAT, DEV, TEST, SBOX) and can point at a completely separate server.
Does Ask send our metadata to an AI provider?
No. Ask runs entirely on your IntelliBOBI server with zero external AI cloud services. It's a deterministic phrase-matcher that operates strictly read-only.
Why does Instance Search return nothing initially?
It reads the synced catalog, not live SAP. Run 'Instances → Sync All' for that environment first, or set up a nightly Schedule Action so it stays current automatically.
Can we get the results out?
Nearly every list and comparison exports as a formatted Excel workbook (.xlsx), honouring whatever search term and filters you applied.
Who can see what?
Every signed-in user gets the dashboard, browsing, search, all seven comparisons and Ask. Administrators additionally get user/group management, catalog purge controls, and oversight of Schedule Actions.
Does a changed ID after a migration count as a difference?
No. When an item matches on its business key but SAP has reassigned its internal ID, IntelliBOBI marks it 'ID changed — informational' and never treats it as an error.
